The Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey has announced setting up of a medical college in the Dhenkanal parliamentary constituency. It's noteworthy to mention that Dhenkanal Lok Sabha constituency consists of 7 legislative assembly segments, namely, Dhenkanal, Parjanga, Kamakhyanagar, Hindlo, Angul, Talcher, and Pallahara. The minister has asked the state government to identify land for the purpose. This will be really a boost for the people of the area as their nearest Medical colleges are at ~ 200 KMs away in Sambalapur and Cuttack. Hope the proposal gets going before both, State and Central, governments demit office in May 2019.
